White-label web development for agencies

SoftVolt AI is a white-label web development team for agencies in the UK, US, Canada and Australia. You sell the website, store or web app, and we build it under your brand with your name on every document. You get a written scope and a fixed price within two business days of the brief.

At a glance

Web development, run the way agencies need it run.

Websites, stores and apps your clients will put their name on.

Send the brief and a named producer turns it into a written scope: 6 deliverables, each priced, with the assumptions and the tools listed — WordPress, WooCommerce, Next.js, Shopify, Webflow, Laravel, Vercel. Nothing is built until you have agreed that document, and the price on it is the price you pay.

It is the brief we see most often from web design agencies, digital marketing agencies, full-service agencies. Everything ships under your agency's name — the staging link, the commits, the checklist and the handover — and your client never learns we were involved.

What is white-label web development?

White-label web development means an outside team builds a website, online store or web app that your agency delivers as its own work. The developers stay invisible: no credit link, no contact with your client, and the staging site, code and documents all carry your brand. You keep the client relationship and the billing.

Agencies use it to say yes to builds they cannot staff. We cover WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Webflow, Next.js and Laravel, so one partner can take most of the briefs you sell. This website runs on the same stack: headless WordPress with a Next.js front end on Vercel.

What a white-label web development partner handles for your agency

We handle production, from an approved brief to a site that is ready to launch. You stay in charge of the client, the sale and any decision that changes the scope.

Launch day also depends on the work around the build, and we take that on too:

  • Gaps in the brief. Before we price anything, we list what is missing: font licences, image rights, final copy, logins and access to the domain registrar.
  • The client’s current setup. We check hosting, DNS, email records and plugin or app licences early, so launch does not wait on someone finding a password.
  • Templates over pages. Each layout becomes a reusable component, so the twentieth page takes far less time than the first.
  • Old URLs. Every page that changes address gets a redirect, mapped before launch and tested after it.
  • Consent and tracking. Analytics and ad tags wait for cookie consent where the law requires it, and each form records one conversion per submission.
  • Edits during the build. If the client keeps editing the old site, the scope sets a content freeze date or a final sync.

What stays with you: client meetings, design sign-off, the price you charge and the launch date you promise. We never speak to your client, so every question reaches them through your account manager.

Which platform fits which client

The right platform is the one your client’s team can run after launch. We recommend one in the scope and write down the reasons, so you can explain the choice to your client.

Client need Approach Why
A marketing site the client’s team edits every week WordPress with custom templates A familiar admin, sensible editor roles and plenty of developers who can support it later
A shop with custom pricing, shipping or checkout rules WooCommerce development Store logic lives in code you control, inside the same WordPress admin
A product-led shop that wants hosted checkout and apps Shopify development Shopify runs hosting and checkout, and we customise the theme in Liquid
A design-led site edited by non-developers Webflow development A visual editor, CMS collections and a class system planned from the Figma file
A fast front end, a headless CMS or pages behind a login Next.js development Server-rendered pages, React components and full control over what loads
An application with accounts, roles and business rules Laravel development A PHP framework made for applications, with queues, permissions and APIs built in
A paid campaign that needs a fast, tracked page High-speed landing pages Quick mobile loads and conversion tracking tested before traffic arrives

Two other briefs sit next to these builds. Moving a site to a new host or platform is a website migration, scoped around a redirect map. Fixing a site someone else built starts with website rescue and bug fixing, where we diagnose the cause before changing anything.

How a project runs with your agency

One named producer runs your project in a shared Slack Connect or WhatsApp channel. The build lives on a staging URL under your brand from the first day.

The team works from Dhaka (UTC+6, no daylight saving) and covers 09:00 to 23:00 local time. Dhaka afternoons overlap the UK working day, evenings overlap East Coast mornings in the US and Canada, and mornings overlap the Sydney afternoon. Brief us at 5pm London and review at 9am.

Staging sites are password-protected and set to noindex, and we remove them within 14 days of launch unless you ask us to keep them. Before you see a build, it passes our published QA checklist: cross-browser, real-device, accessibility and Core Web Vitals checks.

If the client asks for something new halfway through, we write the change down with a price before anyone builds it. You decide whether it joins this project or the next one.

White-label web development pricing

Builds run under a monthly plan or as a one-off project with a fixed price. Plans are billed monthly with no long-term contract, and you can move up or down as your workload changes.

  • Essential, from £500 a month: 1 active project at a time and up to 5 pages per project. It covers WordPress and WooCommerce builds, with a standard turnaround of 10 to 15 business days.
  • Growth, from £1,200 a month: up to 3 active projects and up to 10 pages per project, adding headless Next.js. Priority turnaround is 7 to 10 business days, with a named producer in a shared channel.
  • Premium, from £2,400 a month: up to 6 active projects and up to 15 pages per project. It adds AI automation, SEO and paid media, with a fast-track turnaround of 5 to 7 business days.
  • Enterprise, quoted: unlimited active projects billed monthly, the full white-label suite and turnaround agreed in writing.

A brief that falls outside your plan gets its own written scope and fixed price before work starts. The price of that scope moves with:

  • the number of unique templates, more than the number of pages
  • custom functionality and third-party integrations
  • how much content we migrate or enter
  • store logic such as subscriptions, bundles or custom shipping
  • a deadline shorter than the normal turnaround

Hosting, plugins and licences are billed at cost or held in your accounts, with no mark-up. See every plan and the pricing terms on our rates page.

Builds you can open

Both builds below are live, and our founder delivered them before SoftVolt AI. Open them and judge the work before you read our description.

  • The Bulk Bag Man headless build: a WordPress child theme exposes ACF fields, menus and a Supplies post type through the REST API. A Next.js App Router front end renders it on Vercel, and form submissions pass through a route handler, so the browser never calls WordPress.
  • Heat Pumps 4 Pools WooCommerce store: a full store build for a UK pool-heating retailer, with category and search structure for a large, technical range. Ongoing maintenance engineering followed the launch.

Partner work only appears with the agency’s written permission, and then under the agency’s brand.

In-house hire, freelancer or a white-label web development agency

A white-label web development agency suits agencies whose build volume rises and falls. An in-house hire suits steady, full-time work on one stack.

Factor In-house hire Freelancer White-label partner
Time to start Weeks or months to advertise, interview and onboard Whenever someone good is free A written scope and fixed price within two business days
Who manages the work You do You do A named producer in your shared channel
Holidays and sick days Delivery pauses You find a replacement mid-project Team cover, with the same producer on the thread
Platforms covered Whatever one person knows Usually one specialism WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Webflow, Next.js and Laravel under one contract
Quality control One person checking their own work Depends on the individual The same published QA checklist on every build
How you pay Salary, benefits, equipment and your management time An hourly or project rate that varies widely A fixed price per scope, or a monthly plan
Confidentiality Internal, so it does not apply Varies, and your client’s site may end up in their portfolio Mutual NDA, no contact with your client and no credit anywhere

Many agencies mix the two. They keep one developer in-house for small changes and send larger builds, or unfamiliar platforms, to a partner.

Your client stays yours

We never contact your client, and the contract says so. These terms apply to every project:

  • A mutual NDA, on our template or yours, signed before you share a client’s name.
  • We will not approach, market to, quote for or accept work from your client, during the project or after it.
  • No footer links, watermarks or “built by” credits. Commit messages, staging domains and documents carry your brand.
  • Credentials live in a shared 1Password or Bitwarden vault, with least-privilege access that we revoke at handover and confirm in writing.
  • Where client personal data is involved, we sign an Article 28 data processing agreement. Transfers run under UK GDPR with the IDTA or UK Addendum, and under EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Read how we handle credentials and client data for the full list of practices.

For UK, US, Canadian and Australian agencies

The team, the contract and the plans are the same in every market. What changes is how your working day lines up with ours.

For UK agencies

Dhaka afternoons overlap your working day, so a morning brief reaches the team while they are at work. A 5pm brief is in review by 9am. Plan prices are in pounds, and client personal data is handled under UK GDPR with the IDTA or UK Addendum.

For US, Canadian and Australian agencies

Dhaka evenings overlap East Coast mornings, so you can review progress and reply before the team signs off. West Coast agencies get less live overlap and more overnight progress, with written updates waiting each morning. Dhaka mornings line up with the Sydney afternoon, and we can work under your own NDA and contractor agreement.

When to send this brief

You will recognise the moment.

  • You have sold a website and your developer is booked for the next month
  • A brief needs a platform your team does not work in
  • Builds keep slipping because one person writes all the code
